New Learn to Skate Structure
We will be changing the way we organize our figure skating program. Instead of small, 8-week sessions throughout the year, we are breaking them down to the follow Semesters:
Fall: Mid-August to End of November
Spring: Mid to early Jan to End of April/Beginning of May
Summer: June and July only (8-week session)
The longer classes will be a total of 16 weeks instead of 8 weeks to allow the skater to learn more and progress faster. The new 16-week classes will cost $250. The 8-week summer session will remain $125.
If you miss a class, you have the opportunity to use Wednesday as a makeup day during public skating with an available coach. There will be no additional cost for these makeup days.
Due to the structure of the learn to skate program which builds on previous class material, we will no longer allow late entries to be prorated. You may still sign up for the full or half session (8 weeks remaining) but will be required to attend makeup classes on Wednesdays with an instructor to get caught up.
If there are 8 weeks left of the session, the cost will be $125. New registrations will be cut off after the second week (6 weeks remaining in the session).
We will now offer a 'Trail period' for younger beginner skaters 6 years and under.
Cost will be $45 for 3 classes.
This cost will be applied to the full registration fee for the class if they decide to fully enroll.
If you decide not to sign up for the class after the ‘Trial Period’, the $45 fee will not be refunded.
Show/Recital or Competition
At the end of every Semester we will have either a Show/Recital or a in-house Competition.
This will help show off what the skaters have learned over the course of 16 weeks.
Summer session will only be for 8 weeks and still be $125.
Our next Session will begin Jan 14 – May 13th.
